Terms of service

01The service

Minu provides QR table ordering for guests, and floor, menu, kitchen, checkout, staff and reporting tools for merchants, delivered as a web application. Merchant accounts are provisioned by NEONS EMS; the merchant owner then invites their own staff and assigns roles.

02Merchant obligations

• Keep menu content, prices, allergen and dietary information accurate; the merchant is responsible for what guests are told and served.
• Use Minu only for lawful business and keep staff credentials confidential.
• Hold the licences and registrations required to trade, including tax registration where applicable.
• Pay tips to the staff they were left for.

03Guests

A guest’s order is a purchase from the merchant, not from NEONS EMS. Prices shown on the guest menu are set by the merchant and are inclusive of the taxes and charges displayed. Refunds and complaints about food or service are handled by the merchant; Minu will assist with records.

04Payments

Card payments are processed by a licensed payment provider through a hosted, tokenised page. Minu does not store card numbers. The total shown at checkout is calculated by the server from the order and the merchant’s tax and service settings; a receipt reproduces exactly what was paid. Bills can be split as offered by the merchant.

05E-invoicing and records

Where required, Minu issues e-invoices compliant with ZATCA rules on behalf of the merchant. Order, payment and settlement records are retained for the legally required period and are not altered afterwards.

06Subscription and pilot

A pilot on one branch needs nothing signed. Ongoing use is subject to the subscription plan agreed with the merchant in writing, including fees, billing period and cancellation notice. Fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

07Availability and support

We aim to keep Minu available at all times and to announce planned maintenance in advance. Support is provided during the hours stated in the subscription plan. Because Minu depends on the internet and on third-party providers, we cannot promise uninterrupted service.

08Data and privacy

Each merchant owns its data and can export it. NEONS EMS processes personal data as described in the privacy policy and under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law. A merchant’s data is isolated from every other merchant.

09Intellectual property

Minu, its software, designs and trademarks belong to NEONS EMS. Merchants keep the rights to their own names, logos, menus and photographs and grant us a licence to display them in the service.

10Liability

To the extent permitted by law, NEONS EMS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to a merchant in any twelve month period is limited to the fees paid for that period. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11Termination

Either side may end a subscription with the notice in the plan. We may suspend access immediately for non-payment, security risk or unlawful use. After termination the merchant may export its data for thirty days, after which it is deleted except where the law requires retention.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and material changes are announced in the product.
